Terms of service
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms explain how TabiCare works and what we expect from everyone who uses it. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to them.
TabiCare is operated by Yunagi LLC (合同会社夕凪), 2-11-8 Wada, Sasaguri-machi, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka, Japan. Representative: 堀 貴裕.
01TabiCare is a marketplace
TabiCare is an online marketplace that helps families find and book independent childcare providers (“nannies”) in Japan. We are not a childcare provider, employment agency or dispatch agency.
Nannies are independent contractors. They are not employees or agents of TabiCare. Each nanny decides whether to accept a booking and sets their own hourly rate.
02Vetting and your responsibilities
We review nanny applications, check identity and work eligibility documents, contact references and interview nannies in person. These checks reduce risk but cannot remove it, and we do not guarantee the conduct of any nanny or family.
Parents remain responsible for their children, for sharing accurate information about allergies, medical needs and emergency contacts, and for providing a safe place for care.
03Accounts
You must be at least 18 to use TabiCare. Keep your account secure and your information accurate. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
04Bookings and payments
Families send booking requests. A nanny may accept or decline. Once accepted, the family pays through our payment partner Stripe to confirm the booking.
All charges are in Japanese yen (JPY). Any foreign-currency amounts we show are estimates only; your card issuer sets the exchange rate.
The price includes the nanny’s rate, any extra-child, late-night or travel fees, and a TabiCare service fee. We hold payments and release the nanny’s share after the booking. TabiCare also keeps a commission from the nanny’s care earnings.
Cancellations and refunds follow our cancellation policy.
Extra time arranged through TabiCare is charged at the nanny’s normal rate. If you return later than booked without arranging it, late-return charges apply as set out in our cancellation policy. Your card is saved securely by Stripe when you pay, and you authorise us to charge these late-return fees to it after we’ve emailed you the amount.
05Reliability
Families plan their trips around their booking, so nannies who accept a booking are expected to be there. A nanny who cancels less than 48 hours before a booking, or doesn’t arrive, leaves a traveling family with very few options.
We keep a record of late cancellations and no-shows. 2 late cancellations within 90 days hide the nanny from search and pause Instant Book for 30 days. A confirmed no-show pauses the nanny’s profile until we’ve spoken with them. Genuine emergencies are excused.
If a nanny cancels, the family always gets a full refund. If a nanny doesn’t arrive, the family can report it on the booking page; we hold the nanny’s payment and refund the family in full once we’ve confirmed it.
06Keep it on TabiCare
Please don’t arrange or pay for bookings outside TabiCare with people you met here. Off-platform bookings aren’t covered by our payment protection, refunds or support.
07No recruiting, soliciting or scraping
TabiCare is for booking care for your own family. You may not use TabiCare to recruit nannies for another company, agency, platform or job, to offer them work outside TabiCare, or to contact nannies in bulk.
You may not copy, scrape, crawl or collect nanny profiles, photos, availability or other content from TabiCare by automated means, or reuse it elsewhere, without our written permission.
We limit how many new chats an account can start and may hold, review or remove messages that look like mass messaging or recruiting. We may suspend or close accounts that break this section, and may take further action where the law allows.
08Reviews and conduct
Reviews must be honest and based on a real booking. We may remove content that is abusive, false or shares private information. Treat everyone with respect.
09Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, TabiCare is not liable for the acts or omissions of nannies or families, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Japanese law, including under the Consumer Contract Act.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Fukuoka District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where consumer protection law says otherwise.
11Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we’ll let you know before they take effect.
