Privacy policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
We look after information about families, children and nannies carefully. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your rights under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
TabiCare is operated by Yunagi LLC (合同会社夕凪), 2-11-8 Wada, Sasaguri-machi, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka, Japan. Representative: 堀 貴裕.
01What we collect
Account details: your name, email address, phone number and language preference.
Booking details: dates, times, the address where care takes place, emergency contacts and notes you give us.
Children’s information: first names, ages or birth dates, and any allergies, medical or care notes you choose to share. We only share this with the nanny for your booking.
Nanny information: profile details, identity documents, residence card images, certificates, references and interview notes. Documents are stored privately and only seen by our vetting team.
Messages you send through TabiCare, reviews, and basic technical data such as log and device information.
02How we use it
To run bookings, process payments and payouts, vet nannies, keep the platform safe (for example, hiding contact details before a booking is confirmed), provide support and send you service emails. Our team may read messages sent through TabiCare to keep everyone safe, sort out problems and enforce our terms, and may join a chat to help. We don’t sell personal information.
03Who helps us
We use trusted service providers to run TabiCare: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Stripe (payments and payouts; we never see your full card number), Resend (email delivery) and our hosting provider. Some of these store data outside Japan, including in the United States. We choose providers with appropriate safeguards as required by the APPI.
04Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)
Our nanny recruiting pages (Become a caregiver and the caregiver application) use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you visit those pages, your browser sends Meta the page address, your IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers, and tells Meta when an application is submitted. We use this only to measure and improve our recruiting ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may combine it with information it already holds about you, under Meta's own privacy policy. The Pixel isn't used on our pages for families. You can limit this through your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
05Sharing between families and nannies
Families see a nanny’s public profile. When you book, your nanny sees what they need to provide care: your first name, booking details and your children’s information. Phone numbers and emails are only shared once a booking is confirmed.
06How long we keep it
We keep information while your account is active and as long as needed for bookings, legal, tax and safety reasons. Nanny identity documents are deleted or archived when no longer needed for vetting.
07Your rights
Under the APPI you can ask us to disclose, correct, stop using or delete your personal information. Email us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
08Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit and private storage for documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you.
